Shannon, a member of the class of 2011, is a proud Pacific Islander from the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. She hopes to focus on Health Policy in the Woodrow Wilson school and to pursue a certificate in Near Eastern language and culture. She plays volleyball in her spare time, works in AIDS advocacy, volunteers and has more recently joined the Princeton Taekwondo team. On occasion, she sleeps. A stranger to belly dancing, she decided, in her Sophomore year, to venture into the unknown -- some would say to jump off the deep end -- and try her hand at Middle Eastern Dance. She has loved every minute of it. Shannon is looking forward to spending the next few years with the Raks crew!
