Zeynep was a member of the troupe since September 2000 while she was a PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering.
She is from Istanbul, and had taken classes in ballet, modern, and latin dance, but not belly dance.
She was raised to believe it is something that comes within; but on stage?
It is something a proper Istanbul lady just won't do!
But then she was hooked when she dropped in on our class, and has been with us ever since then.
