2004
March 26th,2004: Raks made a guest appearnce at the BAC show in Richardson. That same night Raks performed a show at Prospect street for the first time ever at Colonial Club.
April 24th, 2004: Raks members performed in front of Nassau Hall at the annual Communiversity.
May 11th, 2004: Raks members performed to live music at the Lafayette grill in NYC.
March 4th,5th,6th: Raks Odalisque presented its Fourth Annual Spring Show 2004 at the Frist Theatre, Princeton University! It was a huge success. Thank you to those who came out and supported us and to those who helped out with the show!
Special thanks to our guest performers: Alexia, Asharah, Flamenco Puro, Naacho, and Groove Merchant.
January 17th: Raks members performed for a Martial Arts Magazine Awards banquet in front of a huge and lively crowd at the Tropicana hotel and casino in Atlantic City!
2003
December 3rd, 2003: Forbes Study Break. 9:30 pm.-Members of Raks performed and held an interactive workshop for Forbes residents.

Novermber 10th, 2003: Members of Raks Odalisque performed from 7:30-8:00 p.m.. at the College of New Jersey. A workshop followed from 8:00-9:00.

November 9th, 2003: Members of Raks Odalisque performed at the Cleopatra Supper Club in Brooklyn, NY from 4-8 p.m.

Raks Odalisque performed at Alexia's workshop held at TCNJ
on November 11, 2002.

Raks Odalisque hosted a workshop with Eva Cernik on November 8, 2002.

Raks Odalisque performed at Rakkasah, the biggest belly dance festival
in the East Coast, on October 20, 2002.
It was a great success!

Raks Odalisque performed in a special event in Manhattan this May!
We danced in Alexia and Rayhana's student night at the Lafayette Grill, with live music by Taksim.

In April and early May of 2002, Raks Odalisque performed as guests in quite a few events including:
OWL's Benefit for Womanspace, the Festival of Turkish Culture, Tiger Nite, Communiversity, Princeton University's International Festival, and a special nightclub performance at the Imperial Night Club in Bound Brook, NJ.

Congrats to all our members for a beautiful performance and thanks to
all of you who came to see our show!
Our second annual show on February 28, March 1 and 2 at the Frist Theater
was a great success!
Our 2002 performance included dance styles from Egypt, Turkey, Lebanon,
Andalucia and more! We also had some wonderful guest performers: Alexia, Naacho,
Princeton University's Indian dance troupe; and Danza Espanola de Princeton,
a troupe of flamenco dancers from the Princeton Ballet School.

2001

During Reading Period, Raks Odalisque hosted a Turkish Oriental dance
workshop with Elizabeth Artemis Mourat.
Artemis is considered to be one of the best Turkish dancers in the United
States. She has devoted much of her life to extensive study of
Turkish dance and the Rroma (gypsies). Her workshop included a
brief introduction to the history of the Roma, and an overview of the
elements of Turkish style.

On April 20th and 21st, Raks Odalisque put on and performed a VERY successful Spring Show. We hope that the next performances are just as much of a success as the first! Both nights were completely sold out, and we had people standing and sitting on the floor to see us. It was very exciting!

On April 14th 2001, representatives from Raks Odalisque performed at the 2001 International Festival show, "Global Rhythms."Sunday, March 11 2001, Nourhan Sharif of the Egyptian Academy of Oriental Dance in New York City gave an Egyptian Oriental workshop at the Dillon Gym dance studio from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. The workshop included elements of Egyptian Oriental style as well as a choreographed Oriental routine.
