Finding Journal Articles in Religion

To find religion articles, begin with the ATLA Religion Database, which covers religion books and articles from 1949-present.

Other indexes may help with religion, especially interdisciplinary or more specialized branches of study. Indexes such as Index Islamicus, L'Année philologique, or Historical Abstracts are all available on the Other Databases page.

Some of the religion journals Princeton subscribes to electronically are available here:

Once you find an article citation, search the Main Catalog by Journal Title to find if Princeton owns the journal, and in what form (print, electronic, or microform). If Princeton owns the journal, the Main Catalog should indicate what form it is in. If electronic, the Catalog will usually provide a link to the online journal.

If Princeton does not own the journal in any format, you can get the article through Interlibrary Loan.

You may also find some journals of interest at the Princeton Theological Seminary Libraries.
