The Department of Rare Books and Special
Collections welcomes researchers to its reading rooms in the Harvey S.
Firestone Library and the Seeley
G. Mudd Manuscript Library.

With the exception of the Scheide and Cotsen Children's Libraries, no
appointment is necessary to use our holdings, but registration, including
the presentation of photo identification (e.g., a driver's license) is
required on arrival.
The Department's collections do not circulate outside our reading rooms,
but photoduplication services are available. A reference librarian or archivist
is on duty at all times, and curatorial assistance is available on request.
