Welcome!

Our work focuses on how weak forces at the molecular level determine macroscopic properties at larger length scales. We spend equal time understanding the details of molecular-level interactions using NMR, neutron scattering, x-ray scattering, or electron microscopy and making measurements of bulk properties such as rheology, diffusion of proteins in gels, drop sizes of sprays, or pressure drop measurements in porous media. Our work is highly interdisciplinary; many of the projects involve joint advisors and collaborations with researchers at NIH, Argonne National Labs, CNRS in France, or major corporate research.

What's New?

Group meetings for the Fall semester will be on Fridays from 3-4:45 PM in the Lapidus Lounge. Senior meetings will start at 4:45 PM in the Lapidus Lounge. There will be no meeting on Friday, September 30.

The Prud'homme Group welcomes our newest member Bryan Benson!

Congrats to Stephanie Budijono and Varun Kumar on successfully defending their dissertations! Stephanie is now working at Firmenich, Inc. and Varun is working at Alnylym.

Congrats to Suzanne on winning the Separations Division Graduate Student Research Award from AICHE and to Vikram for placing 3rd at the 6th Annual Innovation Forum for "Multifunctional Nanoparticles."
