Welcome!

Our work focuses on how weak forces at the molecular level determine macroscopic properties at larger length scales. We spend equal time understanding the details of molecular-level interactions using NMR, neutron scattering, x-ray scattering, or electron microscopy and making measurements of bulk properties such as rheology, diffusion of proteins in gels, drop sizes of sprays, or pressure drop measurements in porous media. Our work is highly interdisciplinary; many of the projects involve joint advisors and collaborations with researchers at the NIH, Argonne National Labs, CNRS in France, or major corporate research centers.

What's New?

Congratulations to Dr. Marian Gindy on the successful defense of her disseration. Dr. Gindy is now working for Merck & Co.

The Prud'homme group welcomes our two newest members: Suzanne D'Addio and Siyan Zhang.

Congratulations to Dr. Jack Tinsley on the successful defense of his disseration. Dr. Tinsley will be working for BASF in Ludwigshafen, Germany.

The Prud'homme congratulates Dr. Lin Fu on the successful defense of her dissertation. Dr. Fu is now working for Dow.

The RKP Group bids fond farewells to post-doctoral researchers Dr. Margarita Herrera-Alonso and Dr. Bulent Ozbas. Margarita will be joining the faculty of Johns Hopkins University, and Bulent is now working for Air Products.

The Prud'homme group congratulates Dr. Ying Liu on the successful defense of her disseration. She will be
