"Judaism--Controversial  literature" is valid but how about "Jews--Controversial literature"?  and how about
"Karaites--Controversial literature?
 
Part 2 of SCM H1472 states:  "Assign the free-floating subdivision  --Controversial literature under religions and their sects,      Christian denominations, and monastic and religious orders...".  "Karaites--Controversial literature" was assigned to certain works because Karaites are being treated under this memo as a sect of Judaism.  LC has  treated the subject heading "Jews" as a heading for an ethnic group, and so, we would not assign "Controversial literature" as a subdivision under that   heading.
