I work in historical linguistics, specifically, the languages of the Jews in medieval Spain.  (I do not teach any courses in the field of Sephardic Studies right now, however.)  I also study the use of code switching (Hebrew-Spanish) in the 1432 taqqanot from Valladolid.

My dissertation was entitled "Jewish Multilingualism: The Use of Hebrew, Arabic, and Castilian in Medieval Spain."
