The Lockwood Pirie ’27 Boathouse is located on Lake Carnegie, just northeast of campus. To get there from Nassau Hall, just head east on Nassau Street and follow it for 2 miles (it will turn into Princeton Kingston Road). The parking lot is on the right immediately after Prospect Avenue.

We use this facility to store our boats and equipment, and to do some of our boat maintenance work. We also meet frequently at the boathouse for barbeques when the weather is nice. Although we occasionally sail on Lake Carnegie (for example, during our annual Alumni Barbeque during reunions), we find it is worth it to drive to Raritan because the sailing conditions are so much better.

Starting in the mid-1990s, the team began to use the facilities of Raritan Yacht Club in Perth Amboy, NJ. We move our boats to and from our dock there each season, and host our home regattas from this location. We are grateful to the RYC members and staff, who are welcoming and accommodating in sharing their space with us.

For directions to RYC, and current conditions, see here.
