 Environmental Issues and Policy Index,  subscription database.
Environmental Issues and Policy Index is a commercial database which provides index and abstracts for over 1000 journals  in the area of environmental policy and studies. The dataase begins in 1973, and there are some 500 journals which are currently indexed. A thesaurus is provided to link environmental issues to terms used in the database. Full text is available for most articles for recent years.  Search can be limited to full text..

Search Examples (counts taken in August 2003):

  • Global* in keyword found 15635 hits (* finds variant endings, such as global, globlization, and so on.
  • Globalization in keyword produced 858 articles.
  • Global warming in keyword found 2374 articles.
  • Global warming in keyword and policy in abstract found 157 articles.
  • World Trade Organization found 244 articles
