  • Began publication in 1882 
  • Real current names is Times (published by Times of Trenton)
  • Exact title has varied over time:
    • Trenton Times, 1882-1895
    • The Trenton Times, 1899-1906
    • Trenton Evening Times, 1906-1964
    • Evening Times (of Trenton), 1964-1974
    • Trenton Times, 1976-1985
    • Times (of Trenton), 1986 to present
  • Princeton University Library holds
    • Film: 1975 to present, about 6 week lag time to receive film, Microforms Service

Trentonian

  • Began publication in 1945 as a weekly, then twice weekly, by mid 1970s daily 
  • Princeton University Library does not hold the Trentonian
  • Other Locations:
    • Microfilm 1946-1963 College of New Jersey
      • The ONLY place that holds the Trentonian before 1964.  They made a film from Trentonian's own files, which were not complete - some issues have just been lost.
      • The library of the College of New Jersey is open to the public, and the Trentonian microfilm is found downstairs in Room 11.  http://www.tcnj.edu is their web address which gives full information for visiting that library.
    • Microfilm 1964 to the present:

Other Sources

The Trenton Public Library has a great Trentoniana Collection, which has extensive and well indexed clipping files from both the Trenton Times and the Trentonian for many years. That collection has to be requested specifically, and it is important to call ahead and make an appointment to use those materials.
