Call for Nominations
 

The Society for Comparative Research announces its call for nominations for the Mattei Dogan Prize and the Seymour Martin Lipset Prize

The Dogan Prize is awarded to the best book published, from May 2002 through December 2003, in the field of comparative research. The prize carries a cash award of $300. Four copies of the nominated books should be mailed out with a short cover letter, one copy each to: (1) Bruce Western, Department of Sociology, Princeton University, Princeton NJ 08544; (2) Gary Marks, Department of Political Science, University of North Carolina, Hamilton Hall, CB# 3265, Chapel Hill, NC 27599-3265; (3) Colin Crouch,  European University Institute, Badia Fiesolana, Via dei Roccettini 9, I-50016 San Domenico di Fiesole (FI), Italy, (4) Susan Stokes, Department of Political Science, University of Chicago, Pick Hall 406, 5828 S. University Avenue, Chicago, IL 60637.

The Lipset Prize is awarded to the best PhD. Dissertation, accepted between May 2002 through December 2003, in the field of comparative research. The prize carries a cash award of $200. Nominations should be sent to Bruce Western, Department of Sociology, Princeton University, Princeton NJ 08544. Nomination packages should include a cover letter and thee copies of the dissertation.

Nominations for both prizes close on April 15.
