Our History: In 1996, the pioneers of the Seventh-day Adventist student fellowship at Princeton University established a vibrant group whose purpose was to build a cohesive and committed community of believers. Their presence testified to the fact that with God it is possible to achieve both spiritual and academic excellence. The weekly fellowship meetings resumed in the form of Friday night vespers. Periodically, the Princeton fellowship and members from Rutgers Advent Hope (James Lee, Steve Im, James Kim, Laurie Yera, and others) would hold joint meetings. During the 2000 - 2001 school year, the late youth pastor Brian Han of the New Jersey SDA Korean Church led the Princeton student group in its weekly Wednesday night fellowship meetings. The group greatly benefited from his dedication, committment, and contagious love for Christ. That year, freshmen Iris Kim, Bryan Hiscox, Adam Tagert, and Dwayne Thomas were added to the number, and Michelle Millner from The College of New Jersey also joined the fellowship. The Lord continued to bless the

A number of events marked the 2002 - 2003 school year as a turning point in the group's history. The University of Michigan campus ministry came to Princeton to share their experience, advice, and lend support for the Princeton fellowship in February 2003. Dr. Annette Santiago-Easpana, counselor at Princeton, became the Advisor of the fellowship. Her husband Alex Espana, dean of Undergraduate studies at Columbia Univerity, helped the Princeton fellowship unite with the Columbia fellowship, which he started that year. In the school year 2002-2003, the SDA Fellowship had fellowship dinners, outreach projects such as free tutoring and guitar lessons, and joint Friday night vespers with the Columbia University fellowship, sharing meals, going bowling, etc. September of 2003, the SDA Fellowship welcomed 4 new members, in addition to Pastor Johnny Suarez from the NJ Korean SDA church and Pastor Steven Conway from the Fort Lee Korean SDA church. The SDA Fellowship is becoming more and more active and fruitful, with planned events like a Ysis Espana music concert on November 16, community service projects once a quarter, and a Ivy League Summit.
