DAWSON DOG FRIENDS

Beauty

When I lived with Polly and Dan Donnelly, Beauty came home one day in a shoe box. Beauty and I were best friends. I spoiled Beauty. All fun, no discipline. Beauty passed away in October 2006 at 14 1/2 years of age. We all miss her. Here she is with Casey and Dani Donnelly (circa 2001).

Sunchi and Oreo (with Barbara and John)

Sunchi and Oreo are great agility dogs and were adopted from St. Huberts. Oreo recently passed away. Barbara and I share dog behavior stories. Barbara has another dog now named Daisy. Daisy is very cute (picture pending).

Buff and Jeff

Our neighbor died unexpected one winter night. Her two cocker spaniels, Buff and Jeff, were left outside in the snow and ended up in the county shelter. I fostered them. Dr. Fisher gave them a clean bill of health. Julie Warren volunteered her grooming skills. After a few weeks, both found new homes. Buff went to a farm in Hunterdon county and Jeff lives with two professors and their three sons. Jeff recently died.

Joey

Joey was maybe an abandonned dog from 9/11. He was found by Mark on the streets of Manhattan. He loved people and to lay his "medicine ball" head in your lap. But he falls into the "pitbull" category. I helped Mark foster him until he found a great home with Emily. Here is Joey having a great Easter weekend at the beach with Sparky and Gretl.

Cairo

Cairo was a good friend of Scout's. He would visit when Jan went on vacation. He looks like a Portuguese Water Dog, but we know his mother was a lab. He was as calm as rug. But loved it when Robin would grill steak.

Becky

Here is Becky as a puppy. She is Helen's dog and friend. Becky is always training for the Ironman. She's pretty good at the marathon, although the bicycle leg is proving to be a challenge. She likes to dance in strobe lights.
