GRETL

I am Gretl. I was adopted July 16, 1999 at approximately 4 years old. I lived with an old lady until she died and then spent a year in shelter. That's too long for a sensitive dog like me. I don't like strangers running up to me and sticking there fingers in my face. I don't like gunshots or anything that sounds remotely like a gunshot. I think I'm an Eqyptian Princess reincarnate. Note my selection of seating by the fire.

I am mostly Plott Hound, the state dog of North Carolina. You say what? Plott Hound, we are the only "treeing dogs" that aren't related to the bloodhound. I have this tendancy to tree people, but they just think I'm giving them a good hug.

The Plott Hound became an AKC breed in 1997: AKC PLOTT HOUND

Hounds & Harriers Race

I have run several Hounds and Harriers races that raise money for St. Huberts. It is a challenge for me because I don't know how to relate to other dogs. But I take the race very seriously and now Robin prepares and trains harder so that we can win ribbons.
