SCOUT

I am Scout. I was adopted June 26, 1995 from Hamilton Shelter. I was about one years old. I am a Labrador/Greyhound mix. Here I am with my favorite treat, Skippy. I sent this picture to Best Foods, and they gave me some coupons for free peanut butter. Step aside Derek Jeeter.

My story does not have a happy ending. Because of hip dysplasia, I had my right hip replaced with an artificial joint in March 1999 at Tinton Fall Veterinary Clinic. They are the best. The surgery was successfu. But three months later on Memorial Day, I stepped on a glass bottle in the park and cut up my back leg. I was rushed to emergency and died from an anesthesia overdose. I could blame the vet for negligence but I blame the litterer who dropped the bottle in the park.

Please don't litter,littering KILLS.

First Hounds and Harriers Race

Scout ran the first Hounds and Harriers Race. She was really fast. Here we are getting a ribbon. I met Barbara Rushman because of Scout. She is the race director. Barbara is in the background giving out the awards.
