Janina's Corner: 40 Days
Last fall, a student wrote a letter to the ‘Prince’ challenging a report
which labeled one-third of all students as homophobic. The next day,
Montero promptly responded with a letter of her own, "reaffirming [her]
support for the lesbian, gay, and bisexual community."
This year, Theatre Intime produced a play entitled Sister Mary Ignatius
Explains It All For You, which openly attacked Catholicism (see page 4).
Though there was controversy in the editorial pages of the ‘Prince,’
Montero has yet to "reaffirm" her support for Catholic students with a
similar letter. This monthly feature will keep track of the number of
days that have elapsed since the public debate began.
