There are a number of study abroad opportunities in the Czech Republic both in the summer and during the academic year (click on the program name to be taken to the relevant webpage). Prague:Czech Language Summer: Administered by Karlova Universita, the program offers a variety of Czech language courses with different levels of intensity, breadth of coverage, and orientation. All classes are taught by the experienced pedagogical staff of the Institute for Language and Specialist Training. Practical language lessons are organized into groups according to skill level, including beginners. Undergraduate Program in Central European Studies: A school-year program at Charles University brings American and Czech students together in a challenging educational environment in which they learn from experienced faculty, as well as from one another. Between seven and ten of our courses will be offered each semester in addition to the mandatory language course: "Introduction to the Czech Language," in addition to weekly seminars on both theoretical and applied economics presented by a wide array of international scholars and researchers and regular academic workshops and panel discussions, open to all program participants. Summer Prague University: An intensive four-week Czech language and culture program designed for students of all levels (from complete beginners to advanced students) at Charles University. New York University in Prague: Offers an exceptional array of academic courses about the Czech Republic and Central Europe for undergraduate students for the fall or spring semesters as well as for the full academic year. Each semester students take courses at the historic NYU Center and those that are proficient in Czech may take courses at Charles University. Also available in the summer. Jewish Studies in Prague: Provides students with the opportunity to closely examine the Jewish experience in East Central Europe . Courses are offered during the spring, summer, or fall term at Charles University. The program is designed for those who want to take an in-depth look at the rich Jewish history and culture in East Central Europe before the war, its destruction during the Nazi years, and its gradual rebirth after the fall of communism. program, located amidst the fairy-tale beauty of Prague and affiliated
with Charles University and the Jewish Museum of Prague, explores both
the rich history and urgent Brno:Department of Czech for Foreigners: The Academic Board of the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University offers a variety of Czech Language courses during the spring, summer, and fall terms. Olomouc:School of Slavonic Studies at Palacky University: Organizes courses in Czech language for foreigners, in addition to Slavonic philology and Russian language. Designed for professors, senior lecturers, lectors and students interested in Czech language and literature or in Slavonic studies. The course is also useful to translators, journalists and also people with interest in the Czech language, literature, and culture. Instruction ranges from beginning level to advanced.
