Structural Equation modeling

This course is a six week departmental “mini” course on structural equation modeling.  The course is highly applied, emphasizing the application of contemporary SEM software and methods to real social science data.


The course covers the following topics:


· Covariance algebra


· Multivariate probability distributions and modeling


· Path analysis, direct and indirect effects


· Measurement error and confirmatory factor analysis


· Structural equations with latent variables


· Nonrecursive modeling, causality, endogeneity


· Multiple group analysis


· Random effects growth modeling using SEM
