I am in the midst of reworking a paper on "Holes in the 'Net: The Internet
and International Stratification." The paper looks at how the
global spread of the Internet is perpetuating international power
differences. A preliminary version will be available on-line soon.
(The paper was presented at the American Sociological Association's
1997 summer meetings in Toronto.)

My other project is a cross-cultural analysis of culturally variable
depictions of the self through
personal homepages; the case of Hungary, Switzerland, France, and the U.S.
If you have done any content analysis of webpages, or have surveyed
webpages for any similar project, please let me know. I'd be really
interested in exchanging notes on methodology.
