The Council on Science and Technology at Princeton University is seeking applicants for its Postdoctoral Teaching Fellows Program. The program is designed to provide up to three years of stipend support to postdoctoral fellows who wish to obtain further training in both research and teaching. The fellows will conduct research with Princeton University science or engineering faculty members. In addition, the fellows will be involved with the undergraduate educational program at Princeton University, including teaching, curriculum development and instructional laboratory design, and will work closely with an experienced mater teacher. The goal of the program is to prepare candidates for careers in both research and teaching.

Eligible candidates should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in one of the sciences, or engineering fields, and be both interested and have previous experience in undergraduate teaching at a U.S. university. Before applying, applicants must first identify a research mentor from among the Princeton University science and engineering faculty, and obtain his or her agreement to act as research advisor. Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their previous research and teaching accomplishments, as well as their proposed research plans at Princeton University. The stipend will be commensurate with experience. Princeton University is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer. Interviews of the top candidates will be conducted at Princeton on January 21 & 22, 2008 and decisions will be announced by the end of February, 2008.
