The ILSA is the Ivy League Surfing Association, a vision of Mark Herrema and lesser collaborator Alex Patterson of Harvard in 2003. The ILSA later came to fruition in the assembly of the big three (Princeton, Harvard and Yale) in the first annual ILSA surf invitational.
