EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS (West Windsor)
svcemtww@princeton.edu

This project allows interested volunteers to become trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). Once trained, you will serve one night a week, 7pm-7am, responding to 911 calls in West Windsor (Princeton Junction). We usually get about one call per shift, and we wait for calls in our station house--doing homework, sleeping, or whatever else. We are the only 911 ambulance coverage for West Windsor. This is an opportunity for direct involvement and responsibility in patient care. It is a significant time commitment but is an opportunity to get direct patient care experience. The SVC provides transportation to and from the station as well as to and from training sessions. Any questions? Please contact us. You can also download an application online at www.twinw.org. We are in need of new volunteers and look forward to hearing from you!

(Note that there are two SVC EMT projects. Both involve becoming a state-certified New Jersey EMT and volunteering in the 911 system. The projects are equivalent except that PFARS serves Princeton Borough, Township and University and Twin W serves West Windsor [Princeton Junction].)
