Jack Ackerman
Jack is a rising junior and politics major from Mendham, NJ, which is located in the much superior northern half of the state. When he’s not reporting for the Daily Princetonian’s news department, you can find him in the back of an ambulance (he’s an EMT), at one of Princeton’s Model UN conferences, or campaigning for some political cause. He’s an expert navigator of the Paris Mtro but gets lost driving on the Turnpike. If you want to get on his good side, bring him green apple or watermelon flavored Jolly Ranchers.

Malavika Balachandran
Malavika is a rising sophomore from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Passionate about music, she works for WPRB, Princeton’s radio station, where she is both an electronic music DJ and director of publicity and promotions. An ORFE major, Malavika is interested in microfinance and is actively involved with the Princeton Microfinance Organization and hopes to have a career in microfinance one day. An avid Audrey Hepburn fan, she collects movies, posters, books, t-shirts, and much more memorabilia for her ever growing Audrey shrine. When not watching Audrey Hepburn films, Malavika loves to watch the films of her two favorite directors, Woody Allen and Wes Anderson.

Jon is a rising senior from Maine who’s in the Civil & Environmental Engineering department. This will be his fourth year with CA. On campus he plays drums when he is not busy editing “Cornerstone” and “AFP” - campus magazines. |

James Bryant
James is a junior from Enid, Oklahoma, majoring in History with a certificate in American Studies. He is particularly interested in Native American history and will be writing his thesis about the history of the Great Sioux nation in South Dakota. He is a huge fan of country music and he plays club basketball at Princeton. He is most excited about having the opportunity to acclimate a group of incoming freshmen to the Princeton experience. |

Erin hails from Washington state, but not Seattle-actually a tiny town of 600 people where everyone farms. She’s a member of the class of 2011 and an EEB major who plays club basketball. This summer, she’ll be living it up in St. Lucia for a 10-week internship. |

Hi, I’m currently a rising Junior pursuing a degree in Sociology. I’m on the SVC Board as the Health rep, and I am a project coordinator for the Red Cross. I’m also active in the Rotaract Club and CSA. Aside from that, I love afternoon naps, Twist (a new frozen yogurt joint in Princeton), mango, Google calendar, pink magnolias in Princeton, tea, nonfiction books, online television and movies, and volunteering! I’m excited to meet the incoming freshmen, and can’t wait for CA! |

Megan, class of 2012, is a proud member of Whitman College and comes from the state of New Jersey. She is a self-professed Harry Potter fanatic whose obsession for the series has “gone on a little too long.” In defense of her literary tastes, she would like to point out that she does enjoy fine literature as well and takes a special interest in Hemingway’s “The Sun Also Rises,” although the book pokes fun at Princeton. She has a craving for pumpkin ice cream, and in her free time she frequents Murray Dodge Café to take advantage of the free cookies and to seek random conversation. |

Mina Kojima
Mina Kojima ’11 currently lives in the Boston suburbs but is a New Jerseyan at heart, because she grew up in Bridgewater, NJ. The right way to pronounce her name is “Mee-na Ko-jee-ma” (note: her name rhymes)! She is a Molecular Biology major and an Integrated Science student, and she loves all types of tea and chocolate. When she is not busy participating in SVC activities, you can find her fiddling away in the Sinfonia orchestra and fighting AIDS with the Student Global AIDS Campaign. Drumroll, please! Jorge Lugo is a proud resident of Naples, Florida. While not as exciting as Naples, Italy, Naples, Florida has mustered up the coolness to provide you with this fun-loving, multi-talented electrical engineer. Alexander Mills is a rising sophomore. He is on the varsity fencing team. This year, he was the Ivy-League Men’s Foil champion. He is a member of LAPA (Law & Public Affairs) undergraduate associates and is the Campbell Hall representative on the Mathey College Council. He is also a member of the Mathey Social Committee. Alex loves to play Frisbee and plans to teach young children how to fence this summer at several fencing camps. Marlene Morgan is going to figure out a major someday, and by that she means second semester of this year. She hails from Edmond, OK, a town many may have not heard of, for some reason, even though it’s the home of the National Cowboy Hall of Fame. She enjoys running the Katzenbach Sign Language volunteer program at Princeton, playing a game of Ultimate Frisbee or two, and tutoring the kids of Washington Elementary in Trenton. Marlene Morgan will most likely switch back to discussing herself in first person when CA starts. |
