PiTSToP is a drop-in homework-help center located in the Cadwalader branch of the Trenton Public Library, completely managed and staffed by student volunteers from Princeton University. The program is targeted at Trenton public school students in 5th-8th grade, but kids of all ages are welcome. Volunteers work with students to help them with homework, reading, or anything else the kids bring in. Tutoring sessions are from 3:30-6:00pm Monday through Thursday (travel time and setup included). Volunteers can sign up to go weekly, twice a month, or once a month and TRANSPORTATION IS PROVIDED! Due to our week-by-week sign up, the commitment is flexible and it's never too late in the semester to join. All ages are welcome; our tutors range from seniors to freshmen. No previous tutoring experience is necessary, just the desire to work with some awesome kids that need your help! Check out our super sweet website for more info. |
