Anchor House (Trenton, NJ)
Anchor House is an organization that offers shelter and counseling to youth ages ten to seventeen in runaway or emergency situations. Anchor House also offers a transitional living program for young adults ages sixteen to twenty-one as well as violence prevention and community awareness and education programs.

The Arts (Princeton and Trenton, NJ)

The arts group will focus on working with local organizations that bring the arts into the Trenton community. Volunteers will learn about how the arts can be used as a supporting force in uplifting the quality of life in an urban community. The program will have an asset-based approach to community development.

Crisis Ministry (Princeton and Trenton, NJ)
The Crisis Ministry works to prevent hunger and homelessness in Princeton and Trenton. CAers will aid the Crisis Ministry as they help provide food and financial aid to people facing short-term crisis situations.

Community Health/El Centro (Princeton/Trenton, NJ)
This group will focus on health and community development projects in the Princeton and Trenton areas. Projects include running a local blood drive and working with El Centro de Recursos para Familias, a multiservice family resource and community-building organization. El Centro offers ESL and GED tutoring, as well as various advocacy programs.

Environmental Awareness (Princeton, NJ)
This new group will focus on environmental issues around the Princeton community. Students will spend their time doing work on organic farms, cleaning up nearby rivers, and concluding the week with a recycling presentation for students at a nearby elementary school.

GetSET (Trenton, NJ)
GetSET is an after-school program for kids grades K-8. CAers will work with local elementary schools and help organize back-to-school activities, such as a community barbecue and a neighborhood carnival.

Habitat for Humanity (Trenton, NJ)
Habitat for Humanity brings families in need together with volunteers to build decent, affordable housing. CAers will work on construction tasks ranging from repairing roofs to painting houses.

HomeFront (Trenton, NJ)
HomeFront is dedicated to assisting homeless families in becoming self-sufficient and increasing the availability of affordable housing in Mercer County. CAers will work with kids at the Cherry Tree Club, HomeFront’s preschool for homeless children, as well as one of HomeFront’s shelters.

Hunger Coalition (Trenton, NJ)
Mercer Street Friends, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen and Mobile Meals are three organizations dedicated to relieving hunger in the Trenton area. CAers will volunteer for a food pantry, a soup kitchen and a door-to-door meal delivery program. www.trentonsoupkitchen.org

Isles (Trenton, NJ)
Isles assists families in achieving self-sufficiency through urban agriculture, environmental education, and affordable housing programs. CAers will work in community gardens around Trenton.

Martin House (Trenton, NJ)
Martin House strives to offer hope and opportunity to Trenton residents by aiding their efforts to secure housing, education,
clothing and other neccessities. CAers will help build houses and work on other community development projects. www.martinhouse.org

Princeton Project (Princeton, NJ)
This group will work with two community partners based in Princeton. CAers will work at Princeton Young Achievers - a youth center serving children from low-income families. Additional volunteering will be done with the Princeton YWCA.

St. Francis Inn (Philadelphia, PA)
St. Francis Inn is a soup kitchen that serves a daily meal to over 200 people and provides them with toiletries, school supplies, and other services. CAers will cook, serve food, and work at the thrift store and women’s center that the Inn runs for its guests
