YWCA Princeton ESL (Princeton)
svcywca@princeton.edu

The YWCA ESL seeks to foster interpersonal ties between university students and members of the community while also providing members of the community with opportunities to familiarize themselves with American life and improve their proficiency in English. Participants in the YWCA's ESL program are paired with Princeton students who act as English tutors and cultural mentors. There is also room for volunteers to work on producing the YWCA Cultural Newsletter and other jobs needed by the ESL program.

All of the YWCA's students are adults who can also provide volunteers with their own valuable perspectives. Volunteering is a great way for students to learn about the local Princeton community and hear the interesting histories and experiences of recent immigrants to the area. Hours and dates are flexible, though there is a minimum commitment of one hour per week. For more information or to join, email svcywca@princeton.edu.
