Yang Style Tai Chi

Demonstration by Cheng Manching

Demonstration (3.7MB)

This demonstration illustrates Yang style barehand form. More specifically, it is the Cheng Manching Yang form; this form is widely practised in Taiwan and the West. The demonstration available here is by Master Cheng Manching, who developed the Cheng Manching Yang style after making modifications to the 'original' Yang style form. One of the differences betwen the two is that the Cheng Manching form is an upright form, whereas the 'original' Yang form is slightly leaning in form.

Master Won Park teaches the Cheng Manching Yang tai chi in his school.
