Member List

Welcome to the homepage for Princeton's chapter of Tau Beta Pi, the National Engineering Honor Society.

Purpose:

The purpose of Tau Beta Pi is to recognize outstanding engineering students and professionals as well as fostering a spirit of liberal culture in the engineering school.

Membership:

Tau Beta Pi's members are men and women who have distinguished themselves through outstanding scholarship and exemplary character. The New Jersey Delta Chapter's membership is drawn from the junior and senior classes of Princeton's School of Engineering and Applied Science. The top 1/5 of the senior class and the top 1/8 of the junior class are eligible for membership. Formal initiation ceremonies are held biannually, in November and April.

Service Projects:

Tau Beta Pi members are responsible for tours of the Engineering School for the benefit of visitors and prospective students. Tours are offered on weekdays at 11:15 am. and 2:45 pm. If you are interested in taking a tour of the "E-quad," please contact Vanessa Carter at (609) 258-4554.

Tau Beta Pi members also tutor for the Sophomore Study Halls. These are two hour sessions held on weekday evenings during the school year where upperclass tutors are available to provide assistance to students taking sophomore-level engineering courses.
