In an effort to help the Trenton community, the EPICS time team has been working with Princeton Young Achievers (PYA), Isles, and John Witherspoon Middle School. In 2006, we visited PYA afterschool programs to teach middle-school students about engineering models and clock mechanisms. We are currently involved in two projects in conjunction with the community organizations. We have focused on the restoration of an old factory clock, a player piano, and a bike from the turn of the century for an educational hallway exhibit for Isles. In addition, we have made and given lesson plans for the afterschool engineering club at John Witherspoon Middle School.
