Volunteer Information

Manning the Rings (12 people -- 6 rings, 2 people/ring)
  • During Poomsae: 1 computer operator inputting scores and 1 Ring Runner lining up the competitors and calling them out to the mat
  • During Sparring: 1 Ringmaster Operator (in charge of warnings and stopping time) and 1 person gchatting with the head table informing them of what is going on in the ring
  • Ideally, we would like to have the same 2 people working poomsae to serve as the computer operators during sparring. If you are interested, please email me. You will receive a free team t-shirt by working as computer operators.
  • Even if you can only work part of the day, please let me know of the times you are available and we'll try to accommodate everyone

Setting-up/Taking down (EVERYONE!)
  • You are all required to help set-up the mats, tables, chairs, etc on Saturday, November 21 at 7pm in Dillon. We will finish by 10pm.
  • We will finish the tournament latest by 8pm which gives us 2 hours to take everything down
  • Email Carissa if you cannot make it, and I'll determine whether your reason is valid. (I know I'm suppose to be good cop, but we really need everyone's help at this tournament.)

Clean-up (EVERYONE!)
  • There will be trash bins on the courts so throughout the day when you're walking around, please pick up any trash you see. If you see a trash can near capacity, please take out the trash. This will help make clean-up at the end of the day easier

Email Carissa if you have any questions. You MUST fill out this form as soon as you receive it so I know who plans on competing, volunteering, or both.

This tournament is only 10 days away! Let the countdown begin...
