I am a tropical ecologist working to conserve biodiversity. I am currently a Fuller Postdoctoral Fellow, working with Princeton University and World Wildlife Fund. I am studying 1) spatial turnover of species across the Amazon and its relevance for protected areas; 2) impacts of the developing Interoceanic Highway on biodiversity and landscape connectivity; and 3) predicted impacts of land-use and climate change on Andean biodiversity.

My PhD dissertation examined patterns, causes and functional consequences of changing biodiversity. More>>
Last year, I worked as science director for Friends of the Osa. We recently opened a new research and education center dedicated to conserving Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula.

I am also a research associate with the Amazon Conservation Association and the Smithsonian Institution. Over the past several years, I have been working on a variety of projects involving behavior, mating systems, community organization, and structuring of diversity patterns. More>>
