April 15, 2006: Princeton had a great showing this weekend in a quad-meet versus Penn, Rutgers and Villanova. Senior Josh Probst rocketed the javelin 223 feet, four inches for a new personal best on the way to victory.

At the same time on the west coast, Assistant Coach Steve Dolan had his hands full recording all the great performances from the Mt. SAC relays in California. In the 5000 meters, both David Nightingale and Michael Maag qualified for the NCAA's later this spring. Nightengale took fifth place in the race with a time of 14:01.01. It was the second-best 5000 meter time in Princeton history. Maag was just behind, clocking in with a freshman record of 14:05.22. In the 10000 meters, Frank Macreery qualified for the NCAAs with a solid time of 29:03.65.


April 1, 2006: The Tigers started the new month with a bang, recording several first places and NCAA Regional qualfying marks at the Navy Invitational. Freshman Alex Pessala qualified for the NCAA Regionals with his performance in the hamer throw, while senior Josh Probst set a personal best in the javelin. He will also be headed to the NCAA Regionals next month.


March 26, 2006: The Tigers capped a week-long spring break trip to San Diego with a strong showing at the Point Loma Invitational. Alex Willis recorded a personal best in the high jump with a leap of 6-9 3/4. Senior Ray Lenihan ran to victory in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 14.57 seconds. Bill Foran took first in the 100 meters in 10.99 seconds, while Brian Shields won the 200 meters in 22.15 seconds.


March 5, 2006: Over the weekend, Frank Macreery set a new school record in the 5,000 meters with an NCAA Provisional qualifying time of 14:07.76. Congratulations! Click here for the meet results. Feb. 26, 2006: The Tigers finished just 20 points behind Cornell at Heps this weekend, capturing second place. Frank Macreery took first in the 5,000-meter run to pace the Tigers. Freshman Alex Pessala (weight throw) and sophomore David Nightingale (3,000-meter run) were also winners. Click here for the meet results.


Feb. 4, 2006: The Tigers won four events today in a tri-meet with Penn State and Connecticut. David Nightingale won the mile in a meet-record time of 4:05.96, just missing the NCAA provisional qualifying time.


January 15, 2006: The Tigers had another strong showing at home this weekend at the 2006 Princeton Relays. Duane Hynes set a school record in the men's heptathlon with 5,329 points. His mark qualified him provisionally for the NCAA Indoor Championships. The Tigers took the top four places in the 300 meters. Brian Shields led the way with his time of 35:08. High jumper Alex Willis also had a great day, clearing the bar at 6 feet nine inches. Click here for the meet results.


January 8, 2006: The Tigers kicked off the New Year in style, defeating Patriot League champion Navy. They dominated on the track, winning eight of 11 running events. Click here for the meet results.


November 12, 2005: Despite a heroic effort, Princeton missed a berth in the NCAA Championships by two points today, finishing in third place behind American University at NCAA Regionals. The Tigers do have two individual runners advancing to the NCAA Championships, though. Frank Macreery and Dave Nightengale finished fifth and sixth, respectively.
