"Look to this day, for it is life. The very life of life...
For yesterday is but a dream, and tomorrow is but a vision.
But today, well-lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness,
and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day."
~ Rumi
"Far from extraordinary, yet anything but ordinary"
Or at least that's how I'd like to see myself - I want to save the world and while I may be a little idealistic at times, I hope this notion will at least point me in the right direction. My biggest enemy is complacency so I really like to test myself in different directions. I love new experiences, especially those that arise when doors to other cultures are opened to me. And then there's travel. Yeah, you could say I love to travel too :)
About Me
Though my family now lives in Los Angeles, I was born in Milwaukee, Wis. in 1983, an only child to parents who emigrated from Hong Kong and Taiwan to pursue their university studies. I went to University School of Milwaukee from kindergarten through my Senior Year of High School, with the exception of two years in middle school when I lived in Hong Kong. I decided to attend UCLA because I wanted to challenge myself in a big school in a big city. UCLA opened a lot of doors to me and I studied abroad twice and tried everything from photo-journalism to a marketing internship at Capitol Records. I graduated in 2006 with honors, with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Political Science. That fall, I entered Princeton University's graduate program. From there, I found Professor Soboyejo, my advisor, after a year of futile searching. And the rest, you could say, is history... in the making.
