A comfortable, inviting place to read, work, relax, and meet other members of the community. 

  • Liberation Hall: the largest space seats approximately 400 individuals without tables. The room is equipped with a projection screen, CD/cassette tape stereo system, complete sound system, portable stage, and restrooms. It is adjacent to the kitchen, equipped with a commercial stove, microwave, and serving area. 
  • Jose Marti Lounge: provides a comfortable setting for discussion groups, classes, etc. The room is decorated with sofas, chairs, Latin American art, a conference table, big screen television, CD/cassette stereo system, and chalkboard. 
  • Paul Robeson Reception Area: a cozy functioning fireplace, sofas, African and African American artwork and artifacts highlight this room. 
  • Amilcar Cabral Board Room: seats 20 around a conference table, chalk board, and mural depicting the work of Ida B. Wells. This room also holds a collection of over 700 films and documentaries. 
  • Ellison S. Onizuka Reading Room: contains newspapers, magazines, materials for student organizations. 
  • Downstairs: additional meeting and recreational spaces, such as the Aztlan Lounge, Dark Room, and Pool Table Area. 

Note: There is space for your groups to meet and schedule events both large and small…There is a open kitchen for you to prepare special meals for your groups, etc. (You need to reserve the kitchen also) In addition, we have over 600 films and videos that might be helpful with discussion groups…some have discussion manuals… Including Blacks and Jews, The Essential Blue-eyed, The Color of Fear, Looking Back (Blacks at Princeton)
