House Warming

On September 16, many 2D alums traveled back to Princeton, some for the first time since graduation, to help the new members of 2D celebrate the house. Children ran around, dogs were present, and the 2D family gathered. New members enjoyed a a delicious dinner, learned roof tricks from the past, and participated in a group sing-a-long. Their was also a touching memorial for those members of 2D who are no longer with us, but are not forgotten.

Before the Housewarming, Wayne Collier spent the summer emailing and getting in contact with Alumni. He wrote a history of the renivations, and also passed around letters about the co-op of the past. Some of these things are reprinted here.

We agreed at the housewarming that it would be good to have another reunion in two years. The reunion will take place at the same time, more or less.

It will be on the first Saturday after the school year starts which does not conflict with a Jewish high holiday (i.e., Rosh Hosanna or Yom Kippur).

This will give us a chance to welcome in the next group, and it just seemed to feel about right to most people. Some expressed an interest in five years, and a small handful took the other extremes: one year and ten years. It appeared that the consensus was for two years.
