Brown-throated three-toed sloth (Bradypus variegatus). Found near the base of a Cecropia tree.


A tree frog, most likely the species Hemiphractus proboscideus (common name ?).


Giant marine toad (Bufo marinus). Secretes highly toxic fluid from its skin.
Largest of the New World anurans (anurans = frogs, tree frogs, toads).

A Tarantula (species ?). Size of my hand. Crept into the camp at night.
