Here is a birdlist of my visit to Corbett last May. The Corbett tiger reserve Checklist lists 575 bird species. This number is comparable to the the no of species found in the whole of North America. Corbett is about 2000 sq. km. in area.
So you can imagine how rich it is. most people visiting Corbett are oriented towards mammal watching that they pay little attention to the spectacular birdlife all around. Once we saw 6 species of woodpecker in 45 minutes.
