Kay Duffy comes to the EAS department from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she completed her M.A. in Chinese literature in 2012. Her research interests include literary aspects of historical writing in early medieval China, the construction of the past in collections of anecdotes and short stories compiled by literati in the Tang dynasty, and the reception of Chinese literature in Japan. Prior to studying in Boulder, she lived in New Mexico, where she received a B.A. and M.A. from St. John’s College in Santa Fe.
