The U.S. Winston Churchill Foundations Scholarship Program enables at least 14 students in the natural and physical sciences, engineering, computer science, or mathematics to study for one year at Churchill College, Cambridge University. The one-year awards lead to the Masters of Philosophy (MPhil), the Certificate of Post-Graduate Study (CPGS), or the Master of Advanced Study (MASt) in fields listed at http://winstonchurchillfoundation.org/programs.html.
The award covers all Cambridge University and Churchill College fees and tuition and provides a living allowance of £11,000 if enrolled in a nine-month academic program, £12,000 in a 10-month program, and £13,000 if enrolled in a full-year academic program. Additional benefits include up to $1,000 for travel to/from the UK, reimbursement of UK visa fees, the possibility of a special research grant up to $2,000, and a personal travel allowance of $500, for travel around the UK and Europe.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, seniors or recent graduates between ages 19 and 26, and not already holders of a doctoral degree (e.g. Ph.D., J.D., M.D., etc.) Please contact Dean Peter Bogucki in the School of Engineering and Applied Science (email@example.com) with specific questions after visiting the Churchill Foundation website: http://winstonchurchillfoundation.org/ and after visiting the webpages of Cambridge departments and labs that interest you.
