Authenticity in Solidarity: Answering our Call to Civic Engagement & Community

In a time when our civic body politic seems more fractured than ever, are you seeking solidarity and community as you work to make a positive change in the world? Are you looking for strategies to help you find an authentic way to be in the public square and to sustain yourself in your role there? Are you looking for opportunities to serve your community? Join us for the Authenticity and Solidarity: Answering Our Call to Civic Engagement and Community Conference this September 21-22, 2018 at Princeton University¿s Carl Fields Center. We invite people of color, members of the LGBTQIA communities, members of marginalized and underrepresented communities, and allies both within the university community and beyond to share stories about our civic engagement. The conference invites multiple students and alumni affinity groups, faculty and staff, and members of the community. We will open conversation about our civic work, effective strategies, and obstacles, as well as the personal impact these experiences, have had on our lives. We will explore what these experiences teach us about the ways communities engage difference and change. The conference will include lectures and panel discussions by faculty, students, alumni, and community leaders, as well as workshops, music, dance, art and community actions so that we can practice authenticity and solidarity together. Come to listen, learn, share, laugh, sing, dance, and take action!Registration is open for the Authenticity and Solidarity: Answering Our Call to Civic Engagement and Community Conference. Hope you can join us! Sept. 21-22, 2018 Carl Fields Center, Princeton University!https://tinyurl.com/authenticity-solidarity
