What the Press and Pundits Get Wrong: Reading the Electorate

Joel Benenson, founder and CEO of Benenson Strategy Group (BSG), is the only Democratic pollster in history to have played a leading role in three winning presidential campaigns — he's been named "Pollster of the Year" by the American Association of Political Consultants and ranked among the "most powerful" people in D.C. by GQ. Benenson led the award-winning research and polling programs for President Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns, and served as chief strategist for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. He also worked on President Bill Clinton’s team during the 1996 race.BSG's clients include: ACLU, The Pew Charitable Trusts, UNICEF, Google, Microsoft, and many more.Julian Zelizer, CNN political analyst and the Malcolm Stevenson Forbes, Class of 1941 Professor of History and Public Affairs, will join Benenson in conversation.Benenson is visiting the Woodrow Wilson School as the Conor D. Reilly Distinguished Visitor in Leadership and Governance.Video-taping and/or recording of all public affairs events by members of the audience is prohibited.
