Tiger Ballot Day
Due to the implications of the pandemic, it’s expected that more ballots will be cast via mail than any previous United States federal election. While National Vote by Mail Day is planned for October 24, Vote100 student leaders moved Tiger Ballot Day earlier in the calendar to reduce demands on the United States Postal Service closer to the election and to use the visibility of the initiative to encourage any last-minute student voters to get registered and cast a ballot by November 3.
Tiger Ballot Day coincides with the start of Princeton’s Fall Break, so students will not have academic demands that may keep them from completing and mailing their ballots.
How To Join
Throughout the day on October 10, Princeton community members are encouraged to use social media to motivate fellow Princetonians to submit ballots on that day. Groups can make their own social media content, provide video and/or photographic documentation of their voting activity (while being mindful not to reveal any private information).
