Kamara M. Blackman
Kamara Blackman, career development specialist, has over 15 years of experience providing various strategic HR development services specializing in career coaching, executive coaching, leadership development and organizational consulting.
Kamara previously worked for Fortune 500 corporations including Colgate Palmolive, Goldman-Sachs, Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, as well as in the non-profit sector, InRoads Inc., before embarking upon her career in higher education. As the career development specialist, Kamara provides individual coaching services to University staff so that they may discover their strengths, understand their roadblocks and develop a strategic plan to achieve their personal and professional goals. Through developed self-knowledge, they enhance their communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness, and ability to inspire and lead others.
Kamara holds a master’s degree in organizational dynamics (MSOD) with a concentration in organizational consulting and executive coaching from the University of Pennsylvania. She also has an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and is certified in Strategic Human Resources Management from Rutgers University.
