Asian American emergence lecture, March 28

Helen Zia '73 will present "The Asian American Emergence: A Third World Center Alumna's Journey from Olden Street to Main Street" on Wednesday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Dodds Auditorium, Richardson Hall.
Zia, a long-time activist for social justice on issues ranging from civil rights and peace to women's rights and countering hate violence, was named one of the most influential Asian Americans of the decade by A. Magazine in 1999.
The lecture is sponsored by the Third World Center 30th Anniversary Committee, the Women's Center, the Program in American Studies, and the USG Projects Board.
