Symposium planned in honor of Mislow, June 6

A symposium in honor of Kurt Mislow , the Hugh Stott Taylor Professor of Chemistry Emeritus, is scheduled for Friday, June 6, at the Princeton Club in New York. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will be followed by a reception and dinner. Presenters at the sessions will include many of his former students.
Mislow came to Princeton in 1964 and transferred to emeritus status in 1988. The recipient of numerous awards, he is known for his work in developing theoretical concepts in stereochemistry.
The symposium is being organized by Jay Siegel, who was one of Mislow's students when he received his Ph.D. from Princeton in 1985. He is now a professor of chemistry at the University of California at San Diego.
