A memorial service for Aaron Lemonick, professor of physics emeritus and longtime University administrator, is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, in the Princeton University Chapel. Lemonick died June 19 at age 80.
Lemonick, who served as dean of the Graduate School from 1968 to 1973 and as dean of the faculty from 1973 to 1989, was a beloved presence on campus for five decades. His great personal warmth and skill as an administrator helped drive an important period of growth and strengthening of the University faculty. He also was a gifted teacher who inspired generations of physicists as well as non-scientists and local schoolteachers.
Lemonick, who was married to the late Eleanor Leah Drutt, is survived by his two sons, Michael and David.
