'80-20' founder to speak on Asian-American politics, Nov. 24

S.B. Woo will speak on "The Asian-American Political Frontier" at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, in 1 Robertson.
Woo is the founder of the 80-20 Initiative, a national, nonpartisan and Pan-Asian-American political organization dedicated to strengthening the political power of Asian Americans. Its goal is to consolidate 80 percent of the Asian-Pacific-American vote during presidential elections for the candidate whose party has done the most to support the Asian-American cause.
A question-and-answer session will follow the talk, which is sponsored by the Asian-American Students Association along with the Department of East Asian Studies, the Undergraduate Student Government Student Group Projects Board, the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students.
