Conference focuses on women and the media, March 28-29

The Organization of Women Leaders will host its third annual conference, "Women and the Media," Friday and Saturday, March 28-29. Speakers will include women from film, television and print media.

The conference will begin with a screening of the film "Bellyfruit," directed by Kerri Green, at 8 p.m. Friday in the Stewart Film Theater, 185 Nassau St . The screening will be followed a question-and-answer session with "Bellyfruit" writers Susannah Blinkoff and Janet Borrus.

A series of lectures will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. in 302 Frist, with speakers including Oscar-winning filmmaker Barbara Kopple, actress and writer Kate Tamalonis of Princeton's class of 2000 and Patricia Cohen, an editor at The New York Times who earned her MPA from Princeton in 1986.

The keynote speech, "Playing the Field: How to Spot a Win in the Biz," will be delivered at 6 p.m. by Paula Silver, president of Beyond the Box Productions and the marketing director for the hit film "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." It will be accompanied by dinner.

The conference is co-sponsored by the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students , the Undergraduate Student Government Projects Board and the Princeton Film Foundation .
