Discussions to focus on class issues, Oct. 8-9

Discussions focusing on perceptions of class issues on campus will be held Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 8-9, for students, faculty and staff.

A student dialogue about class and socioeconomic status, including a brainstorming session about creative ways to develop further discussion on campus, will take place at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 8 in 234 Frist Campus Center. A workshop titled "Class Issues in the Workplace and Academy," which is open to the entire University community, is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Carl Fields Center for Equality and Cultural Understanding .

The discussions will be led by Cris Cullinan, a training and staff development administrator at the University of Oregon who has organized training sessions for government and educational institutions and private corporations nationwide.
